Mireille Fortier

Social Worker

Mireille Fortier is a trained Counsellor and has many years of practice in individual, marital and group counseling. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Ottawa in 1988, a Certificate in Theology in 1988  and her Master’s Degree in Marital Counselling in 1994 from St-Paul’s University.  She is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers since 2003. Currently, Mireille is providing therapy for clients who have sustained a brain injury and/or who have sustained severe impairments from their involvement in a personal injury or motor vehicle accident. She specializes in pain and anxiety management through various techniques such as relaxation and hypnosis, amongst others.   She is also founder and director of Adoption O.N.E. a private adoption agency.  Mireille also has experience in management, teaching, networking, planning, and research.
